Located in the original Ft. Lauderdale--Las Olas beach area, a short 1/2 block from the beach
and 1/2 block from the water taxi on the inland waterways, this landmark building is one of a few
examples left of a uniquely South Floridian architectural style. Built in 1939, the three-story
structure embraces a lush courtyard tiered with "Key West" influenced, plantation-style
wooden verandas and louvered doors opening from the spacious guest quarters. Fortunately,
the loving care of various owners over the decades has preserved the full effect and charm of
this resort and we hope that our most discerning guests will be as enchanted by these
surroundings today as in the past.
